O3 composite filter paper (for Gas Turbine and fuel intake Filter)

Euro III standards are automobile emission standards developed by the European Union and implemented from 2000 to 2005. According to this standard, the limits of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and particulates in commercial vehicle exhaust are 0.66%, 2.1%, 5% and 0.1%, respectively.

Due to the increasingly serious harm caused by pollutants emitted by automobiles to the environment, countries and regions in the world have developed limits on automobile exhaust emissions, of which the European standard formulated by the European Union is a reference standard implemented by most countries and regions. According to the content of these harmful substances and the gradual advancement of the implementation time, the European standard is divided into four stages: Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, the larger the number, the higher the level, the smaller the pollution.

Europe has been implementing Euro I (Euro I type approval emission limits) since 1992, Euro II standards since 1996, Euro III emission limits since 2000, and Euro IV since 2005. Member states are required to amend the relevant legislation to punish vehicles with excessive exhaust emissions through tax policies.

At the European Road Traffic Council meeting in Brussels, European governments and representatives of the automotive industry published a strategic research plan for the automotive industry, which proposes to make Europe's road traffic "safer, less polluting and more competitive". More stringent "Euro V" emission standards are planned to be implemented in 2008.

As an automotive industry power, in order to maintain its advanced emission technology and game rule-maker status, the German government in July 2003 proposed the use of mature exhaust gas particle filtration technology for diesel vehicles, urging the European Commission to formulate new vehicle exhaust emission standards as soon as possible, which was supported by environmental protection organizations and the automotive industry. In September 2003, the European Commission asked member states to propose new emission standards for 2010, mainly increasing the limit on exhaust emissions of diesel vehicles.

With the official entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol, the European automotive industry hopes to use "Euro V" and the subsequent "Euro VI" to revitalize the European automotive industry and maintain its leading position in the world by using the mature technology of European diesel vehicles in energy saving and pollution limitation.
